About the Event

Solar Viewing - moved to Sunday 21 June - shortened session

Our public solar viewing session at the Royal Observatory Greenwich has been moved from Saturday 20 June to the weather back-up date of Sunday 21 June.

Saturday is expected to have too much cloud cover to make the session viable, while Sunday currently looks more favourable.

Due to the expected heat, this will be a shortened session. Observing is expected to run from 10.30am to 1pm, before packing up ahead of the hottest part of the day.

The session will take place in the Dolphin Sundial area, just inside the main entrance.

If you are planning to come along, please bring water, use sun protection, and take care while queuing.
