THIS EVENT IS CONFIRMED ON FOR SATURDAY 18 APRIL. We are running a public solar viewing event at the Royal Observatory Greenwich. All members and non members are welcome. Please note, these events are held inside the Royal Observatory Greenwich, so normal entrance charges apply.

About the Event
Solar Viewing Session Rescheduled to Saturday 18 April
Our first public solar viewing session of the 2026 season at the Royal Observatory Greenwich has been rescheduled to Saturday 18 April, as cloud is expected for much of Friday.
We will be located in the Dolphin Sundial area, just inside the main entrance to the Observatory.
The official start time is 11.00am, though we will begin as soon as the telescopes are set up. Weather permitting, we aim to continue through to around 4.00pm.
Conditions on Saturday are not expected to be perfect, but we are hopeful of enough clear spells to make the session worthwhile.
We look forward to welcoming you for the first solar viewing event of the new season.
