About the Event

🌘 Blackheath Observing – Going Ahead Tonight!

Sunday 7th September 2025

Our first Blackheath observing session of the season is going ahead tonight, and we’re in for a treat with a lunar eclipse at moonrise!

The weather forecast suggests it should remain dry, although we are expecting gusty winds and high hazy cloud, with the possibility of some lower cloud disrupting views during the eclipse. That said, there’s still a good chance of skies clear enough for observing – and the Moon should look particularly atmospheric through the haze.

Location: North of Talbot Place, Blackheath, SE3 0TZ
