About the Event

Enceladus, a small icy moon of Saturn appears nothing special, however under that ice cold exterior it hosts an active and potentially habitable environment. The Cassini Spacecraft uncovered many mysteries about this little moon, including an ocean and hydrothermal activity. This talk will explore Enceladus from the centre to icy water jets, proving good things do come in small sizes.

Bio:

Rachael is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Open University studying the geochemistry of icy moons. She has studied from the rocky centre to the icy plumes of these icy worlds to understand their chemistry and potential to host life.
