About the Event
Confirmed On – Public Solar Viewing at the Royal Observatory Greenwich, Saturday 9 August 2025
We will be going ahead with our next public solar viewing session on Saturday 9 August 2025, as part of the ROG 350 celebrations.
Set-up will begin from 10.30am at the Dolphin Sundial, with viewing starting at 11.00am. The forecast suggests there may be some high hazy cloud at times, but we expect there will still be good opportunities to view the Sun through our range of solar telescopes.
Please note, these events are normally held inside the Royal Observatory, so normal entrance charges apply. Flamsteed members can enter for free as part of their museum membership. If you’re not a member, the event is open to anyone on site!
Location will be by the Dolphin Sundial, just inside the main entrance at the Royal Observatory Greenwich.
