About the Event
THIS EVENT IS CONFIRMED ON FOR SATURDAY 28 JUNE.
We’re pleased to confirm that our next public solar viewing session will take place on Saturday 28 June, from 11am to 4pm, at the Dolphin Sundial area of the Royal Observatory Greenwich.
Forecasts suggest early cloud cover, but we’re expecting sunny intervals from late morning onwards – and with a strong team of volunteers available and slightly more manageable temperatures than Sunday, we’ve decided it’s worth the risk!
Come along to safely observe the Sun through specially filtered telescopes and chat with our volunteers about what you’re seeing. We’ve recently enjoyed some stunning solar activity, with impressive sunspots, prominences, and filaments on show.
We hope to see you there – fingers crossed for clear skies!
Please note, these events are held inside the Royal Observatory, so normal entrance charges apply. Flamsteed members can enter for free as part of their museum membership.…
