BAA Comet Section meeting
The Flamsteed Astronomy Society will be collaborating with the British Astronomical Association in hosting an all-day meeting on Comets and Meteors. The event will include a host of reputed speakers in the field and also a planetarium show. The meeting will start at the Lecture Theatre.

About the Event
With opening remarks and introductions. Participants will then proceed to the planetarium for a show relating to Comets and Meteors which will be hosted by one of the Astronomers at the Observatory. The rest of the day will then proceed with a wide range of talks on comets and cometary astronomy.
Speakers will include:
Pro. Alan Fitzsimmons  (Exoplanets).
Dr Mark Kidger  (The Comet Interceptor).
Robin Leadbeater  (Cometary spectroscopy).
Dr John Mason  (Comets and meteoroid streams).
Dr Richard Miles  (Latest news on Comet 24P).
Jonathan Shanklin  (Cometary analysis).
Helen Usher  (Comet chasers).
There will be a charge of £6 for Flamsteed members using the promotional code meridian and a charge of £8 for non-members.
