About the Event

This workshop is intended as a basic introduction to astrophotography, using DSLRs or compact system cameras. We will introduce the sort of equipment that you might need for basic astrophotography, camera settings for taking the best astro images and the types of image that you can take.

We will also explain how to hook up a camera to a telescope and show how camera phones, compact cameras and DSLRs can be used. We will take a brief look at how images can be processed and what sort of software is available for the processing of astronomical images.

The presenter will be Mike Meynell.
