We will be delighted to give you a warm welcome as a new member of our Society. Our members are of all levels of experience and knowledge of astronomy — many are beginners. |

The Flamsteed provides excellent value for money. We support the work of the Royal Observatory Greenwich through donations of our time, equipment, and money, while enhancing the knowledge, experience and enjoyment of astronomy for our members through a programme of first-class lectures and other events. We have access to the professional astronomy staff at the ROG as well as enjoying a world heritage site and the equipment and facilities of the ROG and National Maritime Museum. The Flamsteed is a special interest group within the membership organisation of the National Maritime Museum. Membership of the Flamsteed includes membership of the NMM (adult rate normally £40 alone) which provides an opportunity to support the work of the NMM and ROG and confers many benefits including concessionary rates for many NMM/ROG talks, courses and seminars, shop and cafe discounts, newsletters, a programme of member events, and free personal entry to the Peter Harrison Planetarium and special exhibitions (like the Nelson and Napoleon exhibition in 2005). If you are already a member of the NMM (formerly the Friends of the NMM) please enter your membership number in the box indicated above — your NMM member subscription will be deducted from the Flamsteed subscription payable.
